This privacy policy explains how Strategic Research B.V. ("we," "us," "our"), the operator of BoardroomTrades (boardroomtrades.com), collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use our website and service.
Who we are
Strategic Research B.V. is registered in the Netherlands under Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number 68994877, VAT identification number NL857680626B01, registered office at W. v. d. Brinkstraat 106, 1444 HG Purmerend, the Netherlands. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. What data we collect
When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password, stored securely and not in plain text. When you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor Stripe collects and processes your payment details directly; we do not store your full card details ourselves. We also store information you generate while using the service, such as your watchlist and account preferences. Our system records basic technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, for security and troubleshooting purposes.
Why we process your data
We process your data to provide and maintain your account and subscription, to process payments, to communicate with you about your account, for example billing notices or important service updates, and to maintain the security of our service. The legal basis for this processing is the performance of our contract with you (our terms of service) and, where applicable, our legitimate interest in operating and securing the service.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of third-party service providers to operate BoardroomTrades, such as our payment processor (Stripe), our email delivery provider, and providers of hosting, DNS, and database infrastructure. Each of these processes personal data on our behalf under their own data processing terms. We do not sell your personal data to third parties, and we do not share it for advertising purposes.
Where your data is stored
Our service providers may process and store data outside the European Economic Area. Where this occurs, we rely on the safeguards those providers offer, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, to keep your data protected to a standard equivalent to EU law.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain certain records, for example invoicing data, for legal or tax purposes.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have your data deleted, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to receive your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@boardroomtrades.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or your local supervisory authority.
Cookies
We use only the cookies strictly necessary to keep you logged in and to operate the website securely. We do not currently use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly measurement tool that does not use cookies and does not track individual visitors.
Children
BoardroomTrades is not directed at, and not intended for use by, anyone under the age of 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify active subscribers by email.
